PSPB INTER UNIT ATHLETIC MEET INAUGURATED ON 02.12.2008

The Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Inter Unit Athletic Meet, organised by Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) was declared open by Mr.K.K.Acharya, Managing Director, CPCL, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai this morning (02.12.2008). Mr.K.Balachandran, Director (Operations), CPCL, and President of the Organising Committee, Mr.K.Balachandran, Director (Operations), CPCL, Mr.Vivek Satyajit, Asst. Secretary, PSPB, felicitated. At the outset, Mr.V. Srinivasan, General Manager (HR), CPCL, and Vice-President of the Organising Committee, welcomed the gathering. Mr.B.Anbu, Joint Secretary of the Organising Committee, proposed a vote of thanks. Nearly 135 athletes from ten petroleum organisations from all over the country are participating in this five-day tournament.

The following are the participating teams: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Engineers India Limited (EIL), Bongaigoan Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (BRPL), Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Numaligarh Refineries Limited (NRL), Oil India Limited (OIL), IOC- Assam Oil Division (AOD) and CPCL.
