Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (CPCL) Manali Refinery has been ranked Second amongst the Refineries in the Country with respect to improvement in energy consumption during the year 2005-06 over the previous best. Specific energy consumption index for the year 2005-06 was 77 over the previous best of 86 for the year 2004-05. Based on the above, CPCL has been awarded the Jawaharlal Nehru Centenary Award for energy performance amongst the Refineries in the Country, instituted by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India.
Mr.K.K.Acharya ,Managing Director, CPCL received the Jawaharlal Nehru Centenary award from Mr.Dinsha J.Patel, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas on December 13 in New Delhi.
