Chennai Petroleum Corporation
Limited (CPCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
with the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas for the
year 2001-2002.
Mr.S.Rammohan, Chairman and
Managing Director, CPCL and Mr.P.Shankar, Secretary, Union Ministry
of Petroleum and Natural Gas signed the MoU in New Delhi today
(30.03.2001). Mr.S.V.Narasimhan, Director (Finance), CPCL and
Mr.Mohit Sinha, Deputy Secretary, MOP&NG, were present.
The company had been
consistently getting "Excellent" ranking in the MoU
performance evaluation for the past years. CPCL has undertaken
to aim at excellent rating during 2001-2002 in all areas of
its business activities like physical operations, financial
performance, and project implementation. This year, emphasis
has been given on improvement in Safety, Health, Environment,
Upgradation of Technology and Information Technology. The MoU
lays emphasis on crude thruput of 7.150 million tonnes, with
corresponding production levels of petroleum products, gross
margin and also timely implementation of projects.
