Mr.S.V.Narasimhan (51), Director
(Finance), who was holding additional charge of Managing Director
from 1.10.2002, has been appointed as the Managing Director
of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) by the Government
of India and he has taken charge on 22.11.2002.
Mr.Narasimhan is a Chartered
Accountant and also a Management Graduate from Faculty of Management
Studies, Delhi University.
He has a rich and varied experience
of over 27 years in the Oil Industry. As Director (Finance)
before this appointment, he was responsible for tying up funds
for the ongoing 3 MMTPA refinery expansion project. Through
appropriate treasury policies, he could reduce the interest
burden of the Company. He was also instrumental in the development
and monitoring of the daily refining margins and tracking of
the crude and product prices for profit maximisation.
Prior to joining CPCL, Mr.
Narasimhan had worked in Indian Oil Corporation for over 25
years in various capacities in the refinery units and Corporate
Office.
Mr. Narasimhan is also
the President of Manali Industries Association and Chairman
of Indian Additives Ltd.
