PETROLEUM MINISTER AT CPCL

Shri Murli Deora, Hon’ble Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, paid a visit to Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (CPCL) Corporate Office today (07.03.2007). He took a review on the performance of the company and its growth opportunities in a meeting wherein Mr.S.Behuria, Chairman, IndianOil Group Companies, Mr.K.K.Acharya, Managing Director, CPCL and senior officials of IOCL and CPCL were present. CPCL projected an investment plan of Rs.5,400 crore in its Refinery at Manali for executing projects on Quality Upgradation of Petrol and Diesel to Euro IV standards, Resid Upgradation Project, Refining Capacity Augmentation etc., Speaking on the occasion, the Hon’ble Minister complimented the efforts of Chennai Petroleum in water management, especially Sewage Water Reclamation and De-salination project and called upon the other industries to emulate CPCL’s example in adopting unique methods for water management. The Hon’ble Minister also released the in-house publication “Petro Saga Continues… Story of CPCL”, on the occasion.
