TThe valedictory function of the Vigilance Awareness Week was held at CPCL’s Corporate Office on November 05. Mr.C.V.Shankar, Principal Secretary to Government of Tamilnadu, Environment and Forest Department inaugurated CPCL’s On-line Vigilance Clearence System for employees” and distributed the prizes to the winners of the various competitions held in connection with Vigilance Awareness Week.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Shankar emphasised the importance of innovative methods to eradicate corruption at working levels and add transparency in the functioning of any commercial enterprise. He also cited to benefit from laws like the Right To Information Act to overcome any stumbling block that one may encounter while discharging their transactions.

In his presidential address, Mr.S.Venkataramana, Director (Operations), CPCL, cited how the company is beneficially leveraging information technology to add transparency by making payments through Electronic Clearing System, e-Tendering and Bill Monitoring facility in the Company’s website etc.,

At the outset, welcoming the gathering, Mr.R.Balakrishnan, Chief Vigilance Officer, CPCL, briefly captured the programmes undertaken by CPCL during the week-long observance. Mr.M.Chinnakkan, Deputy General Manager (Vigilance),CPCL, proposed a vote of thanks.
