The 9 th Convocation function
of CPCL Polytechnic College was held at CPCL R&D Auditorium
at Manali on 30.11.2005. Mr.R.Sankaran, Managing Director (i/c),
CPCL, distributed the Diploma certificates to 81 students of
Petro-chemical and Mechanical Engineering courses and delivered
the Convocation address. Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Sankaran
stated that CPCL Polytechnic College would explore the possibility
of starting a new course on Corrosion Management with inputs
from Professional institutions.
At the outset, Mr.V.Karunakaran,
Deputy General Manager (Administration/ Education/Training),
CPCL, welcomed the gathering. Dr.H.B.N.Shetty, Trustee, CPCL
Educational Trust and Mr.R.Srinivasan, General Manager, TPL
and Trustee, CPCL Educational Trust, felicitated. Prof.K.Rengarajan,
Principal, CPCL Polytechnic College, proposed a vote of thanks.
Speaking on the occasion,
Mr.R.Nataraj, appreciated the sincerity and seriousness with
which the awareness week is observed in CPCL. He said that the
observance of Vigilance Awareness Week has increased the transparency
amongst Government Departments/PSU Enterprises in their workings.
In his presidential address,
Mr.R.Sankaran Director (Technical) , Managing Director (in-charge),
CPCL said in an organizational environment, extolled the virtue
of having the mental strength to relentlessly adhere to the
rules and regulations and yet achieve excellence in the area
of specialization .
In connection with Vigilance
Awareness Week, CPCL conducted a painting competition to the
visual communications students of the city colleges. Of the
entries received, two designs were selected for poster display,
which were released by the Commissioner of Police.
Earlier Mr.N.Sankaran,
Chief Vigilance Officer CPCL, welcomed the gathering. Messages
from the President, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Central
Vigilance Commissioner were read on the occasion. Mr.N.Sethurathinam,
General Manager (Vigilance), CPCL, proposed a vote of thanks.
