Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) under its Special
Component Plan (SCP) and Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) and General
Community Development programmes has distributed various welfare
schemes for the villages in and around Manali at a total cost
of Rs.21 lakhs. These include distribution of scholarships
for 268 meritorious students, supply of benches and tables,
computers to schools, televisions, utensils for noon meal
schemes and construction of a stage at Dr.Ambedkar Play Ground,
Manali, etc., The welfare schemes were distributed by Mr.K.K.Acharya,
Managing Director, CPCL, at a function at Dr.Ambedkar Play
Ground, Manali on August 10. Chairmen of local Panchayat Unions,
school authorities, a large number of students along with
their parents, other beneficiaries and senior officials of
CPCL participated in the function.
