Mr.B.Ashok, Chairman, IndianOil group companies, addressed the employees of CPCL at its Corporate Office today (29.12.2015) and complimented them for their good work of safely shutting down the refinery as also resuming the operations in a smooth and safe manner in the ensuing week. CPCL's Manali Refinery faced the wrath of heavy downpour and floods during the first week of December. He admired the spirit of the employees of CPCL to face the challenges of this calamitous floods. He also highlighted the challenges petroleum refineries face to improve the quality of auto fuels to reach Euro IV in 2017 and Euro VI in 2020. He pointed out that the timelines for the existing projects like Resid Upgradation and the Euro IV/Euro VI are to be adhered strictly and therefore calls for resolve and dedication from the employees. He urged the employees to take this spirit into the New Year 2016 and catch up in the last quarter to finish the Financial Year 2015-16 profitabily. He concluded the address conveying his New year 2016 greetings to the employees and their families. At the outset, Mr.Gautam Roy, Managing Director, welcomed the Chairman and briefly narrated the hardships faced by the employees and the concerted efforts taken by them to bring back normalcy in refinery operations. Board of Directors, senior officials and a large number employees were present on the occasion.
