CPCLs Contribution Towards Provision of Cold Chain Equipments (CCEs) for COVID 19 vaccination to TamilNadu. 30/03/2021

Shri S.Krishnan, Director (Operations) ,CPCL handed over the CCEs to Dr. C.Sekar, Addl Director, Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (DPH) on 30.03.2021 at Chennai.

Based on the Additional Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises request to all CPSE’s to support the State Governments by providing Cold Chain Equipments (CCEs) for transportation and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, CCEs were provided by M/s.IOCL and M/s.CPCL. The total cost towards provision of CCEs was Rs.3.11 crores, of which CPCL contribution is Rs.1.5 crores.

A Cold Chain is a temperature-controlled supply chain. An unbroken cold chain is an uninterrupted series of refrigerated production, storage and distribution activities, along with associated equipment and logistics, which maintain quality via a desired low-temperature range.

Officials from CPCL and IOCL were present on the occasion.
